red & white (after the fire)

For two hours we walked the trails we typically ride...
Most surreal was the contrast between brand new green growth and burned, blackened tree trunks and limbs.
Surprisingly, the trail itself was perfect and pristine...The only evidence of a forest fire was the lingering smell of woody smoke while looking straight ahead. However, when we stopped and looked into the forest on either side of the trail, we were met with acres and acres of ashen brush, fallen trees, and blackness.

I'm guessing you mean the reception and not the forest fire (although, your name is the Bikinator, so I could be mistaken)...
